Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik Release Surprise Song for “Fifty Shades Darker” Soundtrack

Aside from swirling rumors that her and fellow pop star Drake have been dating, megastar Taylor Swift has largely been out of the limelight for the past few months. Swift is back in the news for her music, however. She and former One Direction member Zayn Malik dropped a surprise collaboration track set to appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Fifty Shades Darker.

The song, titled “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” is currently available for purchase on iTunes. If the songs of its predecessor are any indication, it should become huge. The Weeknd’s “Earned It” and an updated version of Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” helped the original Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack sell more than 2.2 million copies. The star power of Swift and Malik will likely have the sequel’s soundtrack raking in similar numbers. The collaboration between the two stars may have been out of nowhere, but the success the song is sure to achieve is pretty easy to predict.
