UFC’s Conor McGregor Cast in ‘Game of Thrones’

UFC superstar Conor McGregor will reportedly try his luck at acting. The professional ultimate fighter will allegedly leave the ring for a short stint in Westeros, as he is scheduled to appear in season 7 of the hit HBO sci-fi/fantasy series Game of Thrones.

It’s unclear who McGregor will play but in a world full of warriors and barbarians, he should fit right in. Some people have speculated that McGregor will play the role of an Iron Born Greyjoy warrior while others can see him fitting in as a Dothraki. Regardless of the role McGregor ends up taking on, one thing is clear. He is UFC’s biggest star and he isn’t settling for a career confined by the Octagon. While we aren’t expecting his role to be huge or overly dramatic, it’s a step in a new direction for a man that has become ultra-successful. Season 7 of Game of Thrones is expected to air in the summer of 2017 so we will have to wait to see where he fits into the saga.
